Job Information

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Controller/Finance Director position is responsible for strong financial stewardship and ownership of the finance, accounting, business office systems, and internal controls. Strategically build/lead a productive team to achieve objectives.

Qualified candidates will have BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or General Business with concentration in Accounting, and 5-10 years financial supervisory/management experience in healthcare including Medicare/Medicaid regulations/policies/procedures. Extensive knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including GAAP, federal, state financial regulations, and automated financial accounting reporting systems. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to organize/prioritize multiple tasks, analyze financial data, prepare financial reports.  CPA or experience in Point-Click-Care preferred but not required.

Title Accountant
Job Information

Reporting to the Controller/Finance Director, the Accountant position is responsible for performing a variety of activities relating to financial statement analysis and preparation, budgeting, payroll and reimbursement issues. Performs day to day activities that develop financial reporting. Assists in the preparation of financial reports on a recurring and ad hoc basis. Maintains positive relationships with internal customers and external accounting and/or consulting firms.

Qualified candidates will have BS/BA in Accounting/Finance and 2-4 years accounting experience required.  Microsoft Office Suite and ADP Payroll experience required. Ideal candidate is detail oriented and have excellent critical thinking, interpersonal and customer service skills; able to work under pressure with flexibility to meet changing situations; able to work independently and with a team; flexible hours when needed.

Title Medical Billing & Collections Specialist

Job Information

Reporting to the Controller/Finance Director, the Medical Billing & Collections Specialist is responsible for billing, collections and cash posting of all Medicare, Medicaid Managed Care, and secondary insurance/co-insurance claims, as well as private pay and personal needs accounts (PNA), and for the accurate, timely filing, collection, and management of third party billing claims.

Qualified candidates will have a High school diploma or GED and Minimum 2 years’ experience in healthcare office with billing experience (willing to train the right new grad). Experience in long-term care / skilled nursing third party reimbursement billing, collections and compliance assurance, including Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care/Coinsurance, preferred. Experience with PointClickCare, Medicare DDE/FISS system, E Solutions preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Applications required. Self-directed and results-oriented, demonstrating initiative, and strong attention to detail; effective interpersonal, problem solving/troubleshooting skills required.

Responsibilities include: Psychosocial assessments, MDS 3.0, writing care plans, attending interdisciplinary meetings and documentation of those meetings, discharge planning and appropriate referrals for sub-acute residents returning home. Educating residents and families re: resident rights and advanced directives.
