Want to tell Congress how it should approach tax reform?
TaxReform.gov, a joint website that invites members of the public to share their views on tax reform, was recently launched by Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-MT) and House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp (R-MI).
There is also a an active Twitter account: @simplertaxes.
“While we are from different political parties, we agree that America’s tax code is broken. That is why we have been working together as the chairmen of Congress’s two tax-writing committees to make it fairer for families and spark a more prosperous economy,” Baucus and Camp said.
Tax Reform and Charitable Contributions
On Feb. 15, LeadingAge CEO Larry Minnix testified in front of the Ways and Means Committee on the importance of preserving the tax deduction for charitable contributions.
We hope you will follow Larry’s lead and present your own testimony, using TaxReform.gov, in support of tax incentives for charitable contributions.
