Green Hill Inc. is a leader in senior care in New Jersey as a founding advocate of “culture change” in senior living communities. Culture Change is an elder centric culture of care that focuses on the needs of the elder as the central figure in the organizational process. Putting the emotional, social, intellectual, and physical needs of an elder first transcends every aspect of the culture at Green Hill, and all staff members are trained as a team to ensure this mission.
Gala guests were joined by local dignitaries including the Honorable Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen, the Honorable Assemblyman John F. McKeon, and the Honorable West Orange Township Council President Susan McCartney. Ms. McCartney presented state and local recognitions to Green Hill’s Board of Trustees, and the Lincoln Ames Award winner Barbara Ann Heins.
The Lincoln Ames Award is in memory of Mr. Lincoln Ames, trustee from 2000 -2006 and Chairman of Green Hill in 2004 -2006. Mr. Ames was a guiding force behind the building of the first Green House® Homes in New Jersey at Green Hill, and the mission of culture change in elder care for Green Hill residents. The Lincoln Ames Award is given to an outstanding individual who is instrumental in helping Green Hill Inc. achieve its mission.
The Green House® Homes at Green Hill are the first of its kind in New Jersey. As advocates of the culture change movement Green Hill provides training and support of Green House implementation for seniors across the state. Green Hill Inc. provides resources, educational opportunities, and intergenerational experience to families, caregivers, students, and friends.
The mission of the Green Hill Gala is to raise the financial support necessary to continue to serve the elders of the Green Hill community with respect and self-determination. To provide Green Hill residents with the Care For Life program so our elders may age in place, providing continuity in care when faced with financial changes. Gala support will make it possible for Green Hill to continue to promote culture change and elder centric care for senior citizens across the State of New Jersey.
Thank you to our sponsors Construction Technology Corporation and The Whitehill Foundation, and all of the Green Hill Gala guests, staff and our dedicated board of trustees for all of their support.
