West Orange, NJ, September 8, 2014; September 7th through September 13th is National Assisted Living Week, beginning with National Grandparents Day. Green Hill Inc. will be hosting a series of events celebrating seniors and the caregivers, families and living facilities that support their quality of life.
National Grandparents Day has been celebrated in the US since 1978. To celebrate, on Sunday September 7th, 1-4PM the annual Green Hill Grandparents Day Picnic was be on the Green Hill campus at 103 Pleasant Valley Way in West Orange, NJ. The intergenerational event included games, pony rides, carnival foods and activities for the whole family.
National Center For Assisted Living (NCAL) selected the “The Magic of Music” as the theme for the 2014 National Assisted Living Week (NALW). The celebration of Assisted Living Week continues at Green Hill utilizing the Magic of Music. Each day a musical component will be highlighted including, an exploration of Jazz on Film, exploring Music Through time, learning about Classical Music, moving to Move & Grove Music, and playing a rousing game of Musical Wheel of Fortune.
