West Orange, New Jersey, Saturday January 30th; The North River Sing Community Chorus performed for residents of Green Hill, their families and community members last Saturday afternoon to a packed auditorium. The audience enjoyed a series of fan favorites called Broadway Show Stoppers and a rousing sing-a-long of winter songs with the group.
North River Sing was founded in 2014 to offer residents of Jersey City and neighboring communities the opportunity to learn and perform the wonderful, rich music of the Great American Songbook while simultaneously experiencing the unique joy of singing together as a group. “North River” is a Dutch nickname for that part of the Hudson River located between Manhattan and New Jersey; as such it reflects the chorus’s openness to members from all over the Garden State as well as well as its programmatic link to Broadway.
The North River Choir event was part of the Green Hill Community Life and ‘open to the public’ programming that provides dynamic and fulfilling experiences for Green Hill residents.
