The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America announced that November is National Memory Screening Month. If one has a history of Alzheimer’s or dementia in their family or wants to get a record of their cognitive abilities to use as a base line for future information now is a good time to do so. Free screenings are available at locations in most every state. The Star Ledger noted that New Jersey has 15 locations across the state for memory screening. For more information you can visit the National Memory Screening Foundation of America at www.alzfdn.org. Here in northern New Jersey two locations can be found at St. Barnabas Medical Center and at Overlook Hospital. There are others, check your local listings on line.
