As Executive Director and President of Green Hill Inc., Toni Lynn Davis, an Executive Board Member of LeadingAge, NJ, a former representative on the Senior Advisory Committee for US Representative Bill Pascrell, Jr., a Board member of the New Jersey Culture Change Coalition, and a NJBiz Healthcare Hero, has become a sought after speaker on senior healthcare and living issues.
Upcoming speaking engagements include the Alzheimer’s Association Greater New Jersey Chapter event New Directions in Research and Care, April 17th at The Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset NJ. Ms. Davis will be presenting on Fall Prevention: New Considerations for an Old Problem. Ms. Davis will discuss the reduction of falls techniques in traditional and the non-traditional nursing environment of the Green House® Homes at Green Hill. A few of her recommendations include the elimination of long hallways, and eliminating the alarms on beds and chairs that may startle elders. In addition she recommends facilities maintain short distances between places and good sightlines for support staff.
On June 3rd at the New Jersey Foundation for the Aging’s 17th Annual Conference in Monroe, Ms. Davis will speak about the Green House® Home model of care. Discussion points include the Green House lifestyle for residents, and caregivers and the financial sustainability of the Green House® Homes program. Ms. Davis is the first to build and facilitate Green House® Homes in the state of New Jersey.
